Every now and then I get a huge craving for a certain type of food. I know we all deal with cravings from time to time. I like to think that when those cravings happen that it is our body trying to tell us something. This week my body has been telling me that I need some cabbage! This recipe is a perfect side dish or even a main meal, which is what I did. I literally ate this for dinner one night. It is so good! Bacon, onions, garlic and cabbage! YUM!!! So lets get started!

- Cook the bacon and set aside. Save the bacon grease.
- Chop the cabbage and add the onion and garlic powder, pepper and paprika to the cabbage. Set aside.
- Chop the onion and set aside. Mince the garlic and set aside.
- Cook the onions in the bacon grease. Add the garlic towards the end of the onions cooking so you don't burn the garlic.
- Add the cabbage to the pot and cook until tender.
- Add the bacon to the cabbage and cook until the bacon is reheated.
- Salt and Pepper to taste!
I started by cooking the bacon.
While the bacon was cooking I chopped the cabbage and and placed it in a bowl. I put the pepper, onion and garlic powder, and the paprika in with the cabbage and gave it a stir. Then I cut the onion and garlic and placed it in a separate bowl.
Next you want to remove the bacon from the pan but save the grease. I then cook the onions (I used red because that is what I have) and the garlic in the bacon grease. I add the garlic towards the end of the onions cooking. Garlic is easy to burn, so please remember that.
Then I added the cabbage to the pan and sauteed everything down until the cabbage was nice and tender. Add the bacon back to the cabbage and stir until heated.
