3 tubes of Cinnamon Rolls with Icing, Chopped
4 Apples, Peeled and Diced
2 Tb. Honey
3/4 Tsp. Cinnamon
I Love the title of this recipe. It is SO PUNY!!! Hey, it’s the little things in life. Anyway this recipe is wonderful, simple, and absolutely yummy! Of course you can make the cinnamon rolls from scratch, but i chose to go the simple route with this recipe. Here is how I made it.
I started by peeling and chopping my apples. Then I drizzled the honey and cinnamon over the apples and gave them a good stir so all the apples are covered.
Then I chopped 1 1/2 tubes of cinnamon rolls into chunks.
I placed the cinnamon rolls into a greased 9 by 13 inch casserole dish. Then I scattered the apples over the top of them.
Then I chopped the other 1 1/2 tubes of cinnamon rolls and scattered them on top of the apples. I covered the casserole dish with foil and placed in a 400 degree oven for 20mins. After the 20 minutes was up, I removed the foil and baked for an additional 10 minutes or until the dough is cooked all the way through.
Isn’t it pretty? Lightly golden and crisp!
I then took the pre-made icing packs and drizzled the icing over the top. The heat from the casse-roll really helps the icing melt and get down into all those cracks!
I let it sit for about 10 minutes to allow the icing to really soak in and then I serve it up and enjoy!
