We are finally in the home stretch for finalizing the move. Only a few more weeks and we will officially be Country Folk! Some of us are more excited than others. But over all, I think we will be very happy with a quieter life. So, let me share with you what was going on this week on the homestead.
The larger furniture is being moved in and things are starting to get unpacked. The upside to moving in a load a week is that there is room to actually unpack boxes and get things put away. I can not imagine the mess I would have if we moved all our stuff in one week. The down side….I have been moving since February.
Things are really starting to come together and the farm is getting that “Home” feel.
Stoney tried his hand at making a bowl. He dug the mud/clay himself and worked it into a nice little bowl. He was pretty proud of himself (as he should be…inspiration is every where!)
Breaks on the homestead are fun for Stoney. He is finding new ways to entertain himself. Tree swinging kept him busy for quite a while.
While Samari and I were unpacking the house hold items, Tom started doing some bush hogging. He was going to just make a path around the perimeter, but got a little carried away with taking out all the honey locust trees that are popping up all over the fields. If ya ask me, I think he is really enjoying the farm chores.
As the day comes to an end, we all sit outside and enjoy the sunset. I never get tired of seeing these.
So not a BUNCH of stuff happening this weekend, but we are getting closer and closer to getting our stuff moved in. Only 2 weeks until the official move day!
