Ingredient List
1/2 Onion, sliced thin
1 Stick Butter, Divided
2 Pounds Beef (I used Tenderized Round)
1/2 C Worcestershire Sauce
Hot Sauce
Hoagies
These sandwiches were amazing. Warm and toasty, full of flavor and just hits that “spot” everyone talks about when food satisfies them. These sandwiches are fast to throw together, which makes for a cheap, fast meal! Here is how I made the Steak Sandwiches!
First I started with melting down 2 tablespoons of butter in my skillet. Then I added the thinly sliced onion.Cook the onions until they are tender and almost to the point of melting. Once they are there, remove the onions for the skillet and set aside.
While the onions are cooking, prepare your beef. I used tenderized round steak, but you can use whichever type of beef you like. I bet they would even taste good with ground beef. So you will want to slice your beef into strips against the grain. Cover the beef with the seasoning salt. Just make sure the salt has been distributed nicely!
Once the onions are done and have been removed, in the same skillet add 2 tablespoons butter and the beef. Cook the beef until it is nice and golden, but not all the way cooked!
Now it is time to add the rest of the butter, Worcestershire sauce, and onions back into the skillet. Now you add the hot sauce. This I leave up to you. I do not like things really hot. So you can add the hot sauce to fit your taste buds! Continue cooking until the liquid is reduced by half and the beef is cooked all the way through.
As the beef is finishing up, now you can toast your hoagies!
After the beef is finished and the hoagie is toasted, serve it up and enjoy!
