Ingredient List

1/2 C Butter, room temperature

3/4 C Flour

2 Eggs

2 Tb. Lemon Zest

2 Tb. Lemon Juice

3/4 C Sugar

1/4 Tsp. Salt


2 TbĀ  Lemon Juice

4 Tb Lemon Zest

1-2 C Powdered Sugar

I know what you’re thinking. What are “Lemonies”? Well think brownies….but without chocolate and lemon flavored. They are sweet and tangy. The perfect combination! Here is how I made the Lemonies.

First we are going to start with making the brownie part of the recipe. Zest the lemon and squeeze the juice. Place in a bowl and set aside.

Next you will mix together the flour, sugar and butter.

Now mix the eggs, zest, juice and salt into the bowl with the sugar and butter.

Spread the batter into a lightly greased 8 by 8 baking dish. (I used a 7 by 9inch baking dish….Use what you have!) Bake at 350 degrees for 23-25 minutes. You do not want to over bake the lemonies!

These are good enough to eat right now. But wait! There’s more!

For the glaze, mix together the zest, juice and powdered sugar. I start with 1 cup of the sugar and add more until I get the consistency that I am looking for.

When the lemonies are cooled completely, then you can add the glaze. Cut into squares and Enjoy!
