Also Known As No Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

List Ingredients

 2 C Sugar

4 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder

1 stick of Butter

1/2 C Milk

1 C Peanut Butter

1 Tablespoon Vanilla

3 C Oats

Let me start by explaining the title of this recipe. This is NOT a healthy recipe. This is a recipe we grew up on. It is relatively cheap and easy to make. And when made during the summer, it doesn’t heat up the house. I made these today for our household. I will be doing a “healthier” version of this cookie later for the blog. But for now, ENJOY THESE VERY SUGARY YUMMY COOKIES! Note- I doubled this recipe for our home because one batch of these cookies just isn’t enough.

First I took the butter, sugar, cocoa, and milk and simmered it on the stove top. They key to this step is low and slow. Let the ingredients have time to melt and mix and NOT BURN. So remember, Low and Slow. Bring the mix up to a boil for about 5 minutes until all the sugar is fully dissolved.

The next step is to turn off the stove. add the peanut butter and vanilla to the mix. Stir the ingredients together until the peanut butter is melted and fully incorporated.

YUMMMM! I could eat this just like it is… with a spoon.

Now dump the oats into the chocolate mix. Fully coat the oats.

Once the oats are fully coated, let the mixture stand for 3-5 minutes so the oats have time to absorb the chocolate mixture.

Now lay out a hefty amount of the wax paper and grab your handy cookie scoop.

Start scooping the cookie mix onto the wax paper. The cookies now need to set on the wax paper until the cookies are dry.

Now that the cookies are dry, keep them in air tight container and plate some up and enjoy!
