3ish Pounds of Chuck Roast
2 envelopes of Zesty Italian Seasoning
2 Cups of Beef Stock
1 Chopped Onion
3 Tablespoons Butter divided
3-4 Pepperoncini plus 2 tablespoons of juice
Provolone or Mozzarella Cheese
Who doesn’t enjoy a nice Italian Beef Sandwich? It is one of Tomithy’s favorite. We hunt for our favorite Italian Beef Sandwich Restaurant every time we hit Chicago. But since we aren’t going on vacation to Chicago any time soon, I will just make them at home. This recipe is great! Just throw it in the Crock Pot and go about your day. Here is how I made them.
Pour the Beef Broth over the roast and place the Pepperonicini and the juice over the roast. Then place the 2 tablespoons of butter on top of the roast. Turn the crock pot onto High and cook for 6 hours.
Now that the roast is cooked all the way, I remove the meat and put it in the bowl of my stand mixer. I throw the peppers away but you cant shred them in the with meat if you want the extra zip! Attach the paddle attachment to the mixer and let it do the shredding for you.
I take the last tablespoon of butter and smother the Baguette
