These are truly little pockets of heaven! Chocolate Mint is one of Tomithy’s FAVORITE sweet treat flavor combos. These little tasty treats whip up fast (see what I did there? Whip… Whips…HAHAHA!) with basic ingredients and leave you with amazing texture and flavor.
Place all the ingredients into the mixer. I put the heavy whipping cream on bottom and the dry ingredients on top. Let likely for there to be hidden clumps of sugar and cocoa stuck at the bottom. With the whisk attachment, start whisking.
Whisk everything until you get nice stiff peaks. This will take roughly 3-5 minutes, depending on the power of your mixer. When you get the desired texture, fill a pipping bag (you can use a fancy tip or not….your choice) and make little swirls of whips onto of a wax paper lined baking sheet. Place the baking sheet in the freezer for about 3-4 hours.
Once the whips are frozen, you can remove them from the baking sheet and store in a container in the freezer. Samari said the texture was like Space Ice Cream. I like to let them sit a minute or two before I dive into them and then they have the texture of a silky mousse.
The BEST PART ABOUT THESE GUYS—-you can use any flavor you want. If you want a chocolate banana flavor, use banana flavoring instead of the mint. Or Strawberry. Or Raspberry. Or Blackberry flavoring.
What flavor combos have you tried?
