We are going through the different recipes for the low carb/high fat pizza crust alternatives. We gave the “chicken crust” a try last night. I have decided that I still prefer the “Fat Head” crust more than this “Chicken Crust”. That being said, Samari likes this pizza crust more. It was pretty quick to throw together and it does have good flavor. Here is how I made the Keto Chicken Crust Pizza.
If you are using canned chicken breast, I strongly suggest wringing out all extra fluid from the meat. Place it on a baking sheet and bake for about 5 minutes at 400 degrees. This will help remove any extra moisture. If you are just using chicken breast that you baked, you won’t need to do this step.
Mix together your chicken, cheeses, pepper, Italian seasoning and eggs.
Then take you prepared chicken and spread it out on a lightly greased parchment lined baking sheet. You can use 2 pieces of parchment to help smash it into a pizza crust type of shape. Then bake the crust at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
The crust should be lightly toasted.
After the crust is toasted, top the crust with your desired toppings. I used onions, sausage, peppers, cheese and pizza sauce. Bake for another 10 minutes or until the toppings are warm and melty.
Now it is time to enjoy your pizza.
Let me know what ya think. I am interested in finding out who prefers what type of crust. And also, what are your favorite toppings?
sry, but eggs are not listed in ingredients list…
Whoops! Sorry about that! Good catch! I have fixed the recipe.
