1 C Chocolate Chips
So, lets be honest here. Who doesn’t enjoy a soft and chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie? I know our house REALLY enjoys them, especially Stoney. He loves Chocolate Chip Cookies. I have a confession about this post. I forgot to take pictures!?! So, as for now, I will post the blog and when I make this again, because I will make this cookie again, I will post pictures. So for now, bare with me…
Ok, so the first step is to mix your wet ingredients. Melted butter, sugars, vanilla and eggs. Mix them all really well. Then in a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking soda and salt. Now that the wet and dry ingredients are mixed separately, start mixing the wet into the dry ingredients. After the wet and dry are mixed completely, now fold in the chocolate chips. Dump the batter into a well greased cast iron skillet and bake at 325 degrees for about 18-20 minutes. Remember to remove the skillet from the oven just before the cookie is cooked. The cast iron holds its heat really well and even after the cookie is out of the oven, it will continue to cook for a few minutes until the cast iron cools down.
After the cookie is cooled, cut up the cookie and serve with some ice cream or just enjoy the nice warm cookie. I really like this recipe because you get that little bit of cookie without all the left overs hunting you the rest of the week. I think it is a perfect dessert for 4-8 people.
