Ingredient List
6 Cups Peeled and Diced Apples
½ Cup White Sugar
½ Cup Orange Infused Dried Cranberries
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1 Tablespoon flour
1 Cup Oats
1 Cup Flour
1 Cup Brown Sugar
¼ Teaspoon Baking Powder
¼ Teaspoon Baking Soda
½ Cup Melted Butter
Last night I made this dessert for the family to enjoy after dinner. Sometimes my plans don’t always work out the way I intend them to work. In this case, it worked out for the better. I love apples. And even better, Apple Crisp! This isn’t your ordinary apple crisp. This one is taken to a new level with just one extra ingredient. Orange Infused Cranberries! They are little pockets of citrus through out your tasty dish. This is how I made it.
The first step is chopping and peeling the apples/ I did this until I had, roughly, 6 cups of apples. Then I added the spice and flavor. 1/2 cup of white sugar, 1 tablespoon flour, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and 1/2 cup of the orange infused dried cranberries.
I then took a seperate bowl and mixed together 1 cup oats, 1 cup flour, 1 cup brown sugar, 1/4 teaspoon baking soda, 1/4 teaspoon baking powder, and 1/2 cup melted butter.
I put the apple mixture into a lightly buttered baking dish.
I then topped the apple mixture with the oat mixture and baked the apple crisp at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until the apples are tender.
If you are enjoying this for dessert, top it with some ice cream. For breakfast, I just heated it slightly and enjoyed! I hope you enjoy this dish as much as I have.
