This dish is amazing, well at least Tomithy thinks so. And the possibilities are ENDLESS! Do you enjoy more meat? Add It! Do you want to make this dish a Vegetarian Dish? This dish is amazing loaded with veggies. This is Tomithy’s guilty pleasure and one of the first things I whipped together when we first got married that Tomithy would eat AND smile. (Remember? I wasn’t always the cook that I am today) Since this is Tomithy’s guilty pleasure, I will walk you through how I make it for him, and also throw in a few options to change it up a bit.
The first thing ya want to do is brown the sausage. TIP-If you wanted to bring more to the party you could add some sauteed onions and peppers to this step.
After the sausage is browned, mix the pizza sauce into the meat and set aside
While the sausage is browning and getting ready for the sauce, start boiling the water for your noodles. Prepare the Shells and Cheese like it suggest on the box. Or you can make your own from scratch. After it is prepared, spread the cheesy goodness into a 9 by 13 casserole dish.
Then layer the sausage and sauce mixture on top of the Shells and Cheese. TIP- If you wanted more meat, I would layer some Pepperoni on top of the sausage mixture.
Top with the 2 cups of cheese and bake at 425 degrees for about 15 minutes or until melted. Let it cool for about 15 minutes and dish it up and enjoy. TIP-Adding a little drizzle of Ranch dressing on top is the perfect way to enjoy this dish!
