Cheesy Garlic Bread

I have been asked many times what kind of garlic bread I use. I never really thought about it much, to be honest. I started playing around with different recipes and I think I have come up with the perfect one.

First I took 1/2 Cup of Butter, 2 Teaspoons of Garlic Powder, 1 Teaspoon of Onion Powder, 1/2 Teaspoon of Salt and 1/2 Teaspoon of Parsley and melted it all together.

I then took my sliced bread (I used sourdough bread because that is what I had. French Bread would work great also!) and brushed on the melted mixture to both sides of the bread. I placed it on a foil lined baking sheet and put it in the oven at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes or until toasted.

I then took 1/2 Cup of Mozzarella Cheese and 1/4 Cup of Parmesan Cheese and sprinkled it on top. I placed it back in the oven for about another 5 minutes or until the cheese was melted.

Nothing to it really. This bread is a great side for salads, dunking in marinara sauce or just by itself. For fun, try putting Sloppy Joe’s on top!
